Cecilia Rosario Drake is the inspiration and founder of Kusi Tails Rescue.  Cecilia is a Peru native and comes together with some long time friends and family from Peru and the US to create this charity.

In the Quechua language of Peru, Kusi means ‘Happy’—but not just an emotion. It represents a life that is truly flourishing, vibrant, and in harmony with the community. At Kusi Tails Rescue, our mission is to take dogs from states of abandonment and fear and guide them into a life of true Kusi. Our mission is to lead and support at-risk dogs on their Kusi Journey from rescue to renewal.

Kusi Tails Rescue is dedicated to rescuing and rehoming dogs at risk across Southern New Hampshire and beyond while empowering the wider rescue community. We provide financial assistance, supplies, transportation support, medical support, and secure foster homes for dogs in need. We also share these resources with partner rescue groups to maximize our collective impact against displaced dogs.

We are a Nashua, NH-based non-profit corporation who is in good standing with the Charitable Trusts Unit (CTU) under the NH Department of Justice (DOJ). The IRS has also recognized Kusi Tails Rescue as a registered 501 c3 charity.
